Introduction: In Ancient Egypt the Middle Kingdom is the period that began after the Old Kingdom's decline and the 1st intermediate period. It covers the 11th and 12th dynasties but also stretches into the 13th and 14th. This period in history is remembered to be the time when Egypt was re-united and began to prosper again. The Egyptians began to trade with foreign countries, repair irrigation projects and write scripts again. Unfortunately there were also some problems during this time. The power of the king wasn't what it used to be and the Hyksos overran egypt leading to their decline once again.
